Useful Websites for Counseling, Reference, and Searching
Partners in Contracting Corp. is where a client can learn about PICC"s services, upcoming workshops, and other information such as that found in their newsletter.
Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers. The site has FAQs, a list of all the PTACs in the country, and linkes to other good sites.
State of Indiana's page with links for doing business with Indiana Department of Administration (IDOA), the Department of Public Works, and the Minority and Women's Enterprise certification programs. Also there are links to the crrent solicitations for Procurement and Public Works.
Indiana State solicitations over $25K. Not all open solicitations appear on this website. There is a link to the Department of Public Works solicitations on the page.
Register with the State of Indiana to receive solicitations, be listed on the "Buy Indiana" directory, and receive a registration number to be certified for Minority/Women/Disadvantaged certification process. It also has a link to the Indiana Department of Transportation.
Central Contractor Registration. All vendors who wish to do business with the federal government must register here to be awarded a contract.
Federal Acquisition Regulations. This page contains links to the DFARS and agency supplemental regulations. THis is the place to read a complete version of a clause that may be called by reference only.
Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC). There are links to their open solicitations, their electronic bidding system, specifications, drawings, packaging, and many more. The Training, Knowledge, and Opportunity (TKO) seminars that they offer are free two-day sessions with hands=on computers and various presenters.
Defense Supply Center Richmond (VA) part of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), along with DSCC (Columbus) and DSCP (Philadelphia).
Procurement Gateway useful for finding items to bid on for machine shops and other clients. It is searchable by nomenclature (works, such as "bracket" or "gasket"). It contains RFQs and RFPs for several DLA centers. Awards are also easy to search by CAGE codes.
Fed BIz Ops is the largest single site for federal government procurement opportunities over $25K. PICC's Bid-Match service will search it electronically each business day and return only items that use the client's keywords. Click on "Vendor" rather than "Buyers" to start searching.
General Services Administration (GSA) E-Library page where a client starts searching for a GSA schedule.
Small Business Administration site for clients who should be subcontractors to government primes. Click on each state to show the companies that have government contracts over $500K (or $1M for construction).
Department of Defense (DOD) list of older primes but is still useful as a list to crosscheck against the SBA list.
Historical information of what companies received contract awards over $25K, state by state, and city by city.
