M & B Body Shop

Blue Ribbon Business of the Month

For June 2010

The Wabash County Chamber of Commerce announces M & B Body Shop as the June Blue Ribbon Business of the Month.  With over 115 years experience among them, this is a true family business.  It all began in 1968 when Bob Evenson, father of current owner Scott Evenson, opened the shop with Max Fisher; hence, the name “M & B.”  Bob's wife, Joyce, did the honors as bookkeeper.  Then in 1976, Cheryl’s father (Howard Kirkover) joined the operation.  Today, Kevin, son of Scott and Cheryl, is the Body Shop Manager.

When asked what sets M & B apart from other body shops, Scott replied, “It’s our customers and our care.  We know them, and they know we are going to take care of them right.  Collision repair is what we specialize in, and people need to know that just because their insurance company recommends a certain body shop, they are free to choose who they want to do their work.  We pride ourselves on our experience and knowledge, and have a great team to get the job done correctly.”

As for the M & B team, in addition to the family members, Dick Kirby and Allen Music and Sean Harner (Auto Body Technicians) round out the employee roster.  The shop is open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and is located at 1700 Mill St.  To find out more about their services, telephone 260.563.1651 or email scott@mandbbody.com.
