“The Ambassador Program was created to ensure the Chamber had the capacity to make more personal contacts with its approximately 300 members.  We are a volunteer-driven business resource organization, so it is vital to stay closely connected with our members’ needs.  Having Ambassadors who are willing to serve as event hosts, celebrate member achievements, make personal calls and visits and solicit more direct member input, helps us in being able to exceed our member expectations,” says Chamber President Kimberly Pinkerton.

     The Ambassadors volunteer their time and resources to sustain an ongoing recruitment and retention program that involves making personal visits and follow-ups to Chamber Members to establish strong relations between the Chamber and the Member.  The Ambassadors promote membership recruitment and retention by identifying members’ concerns and relaying that information to the Chamber board and staff, in order that we may actively respond to those needs.  The Ambassadors serve at the pleasure of their employer and are required to follow guidelines and meet the expectations as outlined in the Ambassador Handbook. 

     Chamber Ambassadors are chosen through an application process, sign a commitment form, and are awarded points based upon achievement of their outlined goals and will be honored based upon achievements.  Ambassadors must be a Chamber member in good standing.  If interested in learning more about the program, please contact the Chamber office at telephone 260.563.1168 or email info@wabashchamber.org.
