The Young Professionals Network of Wabash County seeks to create a sense of community and enrich the quality of life among young people in Wabash County. It is our mission to:
Organize social and professional networking opportunities for young professionals to meet new people and make business contacts
Provide programs for potential young professionals in the area to promote youth retention
Support the existing community through local projects and events
Offer a comfortable environment for young people with the common goal of professional development
The Wabash County Young Professionals Network (YPN) is a progressive group of young professionals working to enhance Wabash County through community networking, projects, and youth development. One of YPN’s main goals is to encourage “brain gain” for Wabash County. We hope to accomplish this by connecting college bound students with YPN members in the hope that networking events will lead to internships, future job offers and other opportunities that will bring students back to Wabash County after graduation to grow and flourish in their careers. To create these networking opportunities, YPN’s other goals include hosting monthly mixers for the purpose of getting young professionals more involved in community events and projects, and to provide situations that will allow them to meet new people and make business contacts in a comfortable environment.
The YPN Board has been diligently working to put together a schedule of events, mixers and fundraisers for the year. We are actively looking for members and business sponsors to help us succeed in our mission.
